Stripes & Ribbons 2020 - 2022
This ongoing project considers the social history and widespread presence of stripes, examining their associations with artists, sailors, and prisoners. On the other hand, ribbons, while also possessing historical significance, serve as a decorative counterpart within complex combinations. It is important to note that the ribbon skirt holds significant meaning within First Nations' women's celebratory attire, but falls outside the scope of my artistic exploration.
